I knew it would be special when I embarked on developing the visual identity for Vila Marra, a peaceful retreat by the Tisa in Čurug. The process, however, brought me even more inspiration and joy than I had imagined.
The brief
When I first started working on the visual identity for Vila Marra, I knew it would be special. But what surprised me was how naturally the villa’s spirit shaped the creative process.
Vila Marra is a peaceful riverside retreat, run by a family with a deep appreciation for modern tourism and aesthetics. They didn’t want a logo, they wanted a brand that speaks their story. Together, we set out to create an identity that balances freshness, elegance, and the subtle charm of the Tisa River.
The goal is to create a presence that resonates with travelers looking for more than just a stay; they are looking for a moment of stillness and style.
The design
The visual identity draws from the villa’s architecture, the gentle movement of water, and the warmth of the sunlight over Čurug. The logo is a minimalist, circular emblem—a visual synthesis of home, nature, and serenity.
Organic lines suggest reeds swaying by the river. Typography pairs a refined serif with a soft script to mirror structure and flow, comfort, and elegance. The color palette is inspired by earth and water, capturing the villa’s balance of rustic charm and contemporary calm.
Vila Marra’s identity is more than aesthetic, it’s a mood. A feeling. A brand that invites you in, just like the villa itself.
